After her devastating experience during the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami Petra Nemcova supports Happy Hearts Gala in New York.
As founding member of the Happy Hearts Fund, it was only natural that Petra Nemcova would choose to wear the color of love for the charity's big event. And the Czech model graced the Gala's red carpet in spectacular style on Thursday evening, in a figure hugging ruby red floor length dress.
The beautiful Czech model graced the red carpet in a figure hugging bright red embellished gown. She oozed glamor as she posed on the red carpet for a series of photos. Also in attendance at the glitzy fundraising bash was, fellow models Coco Rocha and Alina Baikova, entrepreneur Cameron Winklevoss and singing sensations Sheryl Crow and John Legend.
When Nemcova auctioned off a trip to Ibiza on a private jet (complete with a seven-night stay on a yacht) for $85,000, she said she’d throw in a kiss, but then brandished a red ruler and told the crowd she’d spank the lucky winner if they ponied up $100,000, our spies report.
Channeling old Hollywood, the blonde beauty opted for soft cascading curls swept to one side and carried a glittering ruby red jeweled clutch. The foundation is a non-profit and aims to help rebuild schools and restore hope and opportunity in the lives of children after natural disasters.
Alas, guests were perhaps too shy in front of a crowd that included honorees Bill Clinton and Haitian president Michel Martelly. U2’s Bono and The Edge appeared via video to give props to Clinton, and Martelly shocked guests by performing Elvis Presley’s “Let It Be Me” with Wyclef Jean.
